Depending on their
nature and number submissions may be proposed for inclusion in thematic issues
created on purpose. Normally the Journal will publish one Thematic Issue a year
but this frequency may be adjusted to the nature and number of submissions.

Thematic Issue No. 1 (December 2011)
The Thematic Issue No. 1 of The Macro-Comparative Journal is dedicated to several
methodological points about Proto-Uralic loanwords, the historiography of the
idea of proto-language and a survey of etymological theories from Antiquity to
present-day.
Thematic Issue No. 2 (December 2012)
The Thematic Issue No. 2 of The Macro-Comparative Journal is dedicated to the lexical and
cultural interactions of the languages of Ancient Anatolia with Greece and
Egypt.
